Congratulations Erica Lawson: 2016 Ron Shorter Award Winner for Victoria

AILA is proud to announce that Erica Lawson of Logie-Smith Lanyon is our Victorian State winner of the 2016 Ron Shorter Award.
We extend the congratulations to runners up Alexis Taylor from Wotton + Kearney and Adrian Di Pasquale from AIG.
All three finalists delivered insightful, interesting and engaging presentations on their selected topcs in front of a full house of attendees:
- Adrian Di Pasquale from AIG: "Kidnap and Ransom Insurance"
- Erica Lawson from Logie-Smith Lanyon: "Digital Transformation and the Dawn of Social Sharing on the Insurance Industry"
- Alexis Taylor from Wotton + Kearney: "Riding in cars with… Siri? The potential legal and insurance implications of the rise of artificial intelligence"
The juding panel consisting of The Honourable Justice John Middleton (Federal Court of Australia), Allison Grice (National Legal & Claims Manager, CGU Insurance) and Giselle Walther (Managing Director of Growth Strategies, Aon Risk Solutions) commented on the professionalism of all three finalists.
Erica will now attend the 2016 AILA National Conference in Adelaide to deliver her winning presentation alongside the State winners for NSW and QLD.
