EVENT: The Other Side of Workplace Risks - Protecting Your Management Team |
Published |
30/11/2014 |
Description
Presentation by:
Andrew Dawson Victorian Manager, FINEX Australia
Graham Kenafacke National Manager, Work Health and Safety, Workplace Risk Practice
Graham will present on the current risk environment in the workplace health and safety space. As a former Manager Investigations and an Inspector at WorkSafe, Graham is well placed to provide a practical and “real world” view of the environment and exposures that all senior managers, directors and officers face in the current environment, with a focus on the exposures that are faced immediately following a serious incident and current trends from regulators.
D&O has traditionally been viewed as the default policy to protect senior managers and directors for claims against them arising out of workplace risks, but is this appropriate? Andrew will discuss the various insurance protections available to directors and senior management and will provide commentary on the common pitfalls and gaps in cover contained in many traditional insurance policies.
