Description
How can a lawyer or insurer handling a personal injury claim know which investigation is the correct one to arrange for the claimant?
Dr Peter Steadman, orthopaedic surgeon, will discuss medical investigations and their use in personal injury claims. Examples of common conditions and ‘which test is best’ will be supplied. The significance of abnormal findings and normal variations revealed in investigations will be discussed.

About our Presenter
Dr Steadman is highly experienced in the provision of independent medical assessments, with over 15 years’ experience. He attained his MBBS at the University of Queensland in 1986. He completed his orthopaedic training in Queensland, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 1995 and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2000. He is currently the Senior Visiting Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon for Queensland Health at the Princess Alexandra and Lady Cilento Hospitals with 30 years of ongoing service. He is accredited as an impairment assessor in most Australian states.
