EVENT: Who's Driving the Injured Worker?

Summary An update on the challenges and issues facing TAC & WorkSafe

Description

TAC and WorkSafe manage thousands of claims each year arising out of transport and/or workplace accidents. Inevitably, a number of these claims proceed to litigation and as a result, the State's court lists are dominated by matters involving both statutory insurers.

This has a flow on effect for liability insurers, who are ultimately called upon to indemnify host employers, road maintenance contractors, occupiers and a raft of other insureds where a common law or recovery claim is made.

Hear firsthand about the operational and logistical issues facing TAC and Worksafe today. There will be an introductory overview of both schemes, together with a discussion of key strategies and recent trends.

This is a great opportunity to learn the latest from 2 of the most important players in the Victorian legal market.
