Chris Groves is a Principal at Dobson Mitchell Allport and a security of payment adjudicator in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.
Throughout his legal career he has advised and acted for building companies, owners, architects, civil works contractors, engineers, and their insurers, in relation to matters including conduct complaints, accreditation appeals, security of payment disputes and judicial review, and building works/design/certification disputes both in Court and through various alternative dispute resolution procedures.

Steven Smith is Special Counsel at Barry.Nilsson in Hobart. Steven has acted and advised in relation to Construction disputes throughout his Career. He has acted for owners dealing with poor construction work and demands for payment. Steven has advised and acted for major building companies, building surveyors, architects, civil works contractors, engineers, and their insurers in relation to construction
and building work issues. He also worked as a labourer on
renovation and new build building projects back in the last
