People Carter Newell Lawyers has 11 elevations across its Brisbane and Sydney offices. Luke Preston (construction & engineering) and Michael Bath (insurance and construction & engineering) are now partners. Practicing from the Sydney office, Michael has more than 12 years’ experience in insurance, construction and engineering and commercial litigation, having advised domestic and international insurers on coverage issues across a wide range of insurance classes. Michael also provides advice on the suitability of insurance regimes and their interaction with contractual indemnities in property and construction transactions. New senior associates are Milton Latta (insurance), Andrew O’Halloran (construction & engineering) and Lara Radik (workplace relations). Milton acts for insurers and corporate clients in the defence of personal injury and property damage claims, and in pursuing recovery actions. New associates are insurance specialists Megan Butterworth, Greg Stirling and Jillian Commins and Jasmine Wood (resources) and Marnie Carroll and Michael Elliott (construction & engineering). Underwriting agency SLE Group has appointed a senior property underwriter to work predominantly with its wholly owned agency Mobius Underwriting Australasia. Adam Thackeray was most recently with Allianz Australia Ltd for 2-½ years, where he was State Underwriting Manager - NSW/ACT. |
