Presenter: Paul Burgess - Director
 Paul graduated with honours in law from Adelaide and a second degree in Arts, including psychology. Paul practised as a commercial/insurance litigator at a mid-sized Adelaide firm, working for highly regarded Adelaide litigators.
During Paul's 4 years in practice he operated with substantial autonomy. Substantial matters Paul was involved in during his legal career include large PI claims against solicitors, plaintiff injury claims, a mining dispute and an automotive manufacturing dispute. Paul also recalls the joys of appearing in the Federal Court on a doomed injunction just before Christmas Eve, representing 50 distraught plaintiffs in a class action relating to a failed motor vehicle group, being swindled by an 80 year old debt evader, and being bailed up regularly by friends for free legal advice.
Paul left the law and held management roles with two listed corporates before becoming a legal recruiter and has been recruiting lawyers since 2001. Paul has recruited for insurance firms, insurers and private practices and is a founder of one of Australia’s leading legal recruitment agencies, Burgess Paluch. Paul has designed and run graduate selection programs, participated in project recruitment, worked in a top-tier firm in an HR consulting role, and counselled and assisted hundreds of lawyers with their next career move
