EVENT: Emerging Trends in Radiology & Medical Procedures

Join our two experts from Next Health, for a dual topic presentation regarding the emerging trends in radiology and medical procedures.

In the first half of the seminar Dr Clem McCormick will present ‘What, Why and When of Medical Imaging’ which will deliberate on the differences of medical imaging and counsel on what test should be used for different types of injury.

The second topic will be presented by Dr Phil Hardcastle and is entitled ‘Disc Replacement Surgery by Numbers!’.
Currently a worker who has had a disc replacement or fusion surgery to their spine will be assessed as having over 25% whole person impairment. This is at odds with the whole person impairment without surgery and raises issues for claims management and legal defence.
The discussion will cover:

• disc replacement surgery
• the costs
• Medicare
• Equipment and materials used by surgeons for disc replacement and fusion surgery.
